A pre-production engineering evaluation vehicle has undergone three months of intensive testing on Australian roads, covering 11,000km to fine-tune its advanced driver assistance and safety technologies. The rigorous process included trials across city, suburban, and rural roads in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

A team of 11 engineers from Renault’s European technical division led the testing, focusing on calibrating and validating the Captur’s driver attention monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and speed sign recognition systems.
Renault Captur Introduces Google Built-in Connectivity
The MY25 Renault Captur will be the first model in Renault Australia’s lineup to feature connected car technology, integrating Google built-in services such as:
- Google Maps with real-time traffic updates
- Google Assistant for seamless voice control
- Over-the-air updates to keep software and features up to date
This new system will be part of Renault’s ‘openR link’ infotainment platform, which also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Return of the Renault Captur to Australia
