LDV (known as Maxus in some markets) has revealed the eTerron 9, its next-generation electric ute. The eTerron 9 is expected to arrive in Australia in 2025, following the current eT60. It features a more modern design compared to the eT60, with a closed-off grille and full-width light bar.

The eTerron 9 will be available in single-cab and dual-cab body styles. It's built on a new EV-specific platform, unlike the eT60 which is based on a combustion-engine vehicle.

Powertrain options include single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The most powerful variant offers 250kW of power and 620Nm of torque. Range is expected to be up to 500km on the CLTC cycle (likely less on the stricter WLTP cycle).

The eTerron 9 supports 800V fast-charging, allowing for a 10-80% charge in 30 minutes. It features advanced driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.The interior includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Pricing and full specifications for the Australian market have not yet been announced.

With modern styling, advanced tech features, and 800V fast-charging capability, the eTerron 9 represents a significant step forward from the current eT60, positioning LDV as a serious contender in the emerging electric ute market.
