Leading global Chinese automotive manufacturer Geely has announced breakthrough 2024 annual sales results of 2.17 million units, marking an impressive 32% year-on-year increase. The company's international business also achieved a new record, exporting 403,923 units and representing a 53% growth compared to the previous year's performance.

In 2024, Geely significantly expanded its global presence to more than 80 countries and regions, entering over 10 new markets while solidifying its position in existing markets such as the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. The company bolstered its regional operations by constructing two factories in Asia and Africa and establishing four new subsidiaries in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Chile to enhance local market access.

Geely's strategic expansion was further amplified by the successful introduction of 16 models across more than 40 countries and regions, demonstrating the company's commitment to providing high-value vehicles and exceptional customer experiences to a diverse global audience. These activities also resulted in the number of Geely users surpassing 16 million people worldwide.

The company's global sales and service network expanded significantly, reaching approximately 900 locations – a remarkable 69% increase from the end of 2023. To optimise its supply chain, Geely Auto established a state-of-the-art global parts network, supported by a central hub and five strategic overseas facilities.

Geely Auto Set to Launch in Australia in First Half of 2025, Starting with the All-Electric EX5 SUV

As part of its global expansion strategy, Geely Auto has announced plans to enter the Australian market in the first half of 2025. The company's arrival in Australia will be marked by the launch of its all-electric mid-sized SUV, the EX5, which has already garnered significant attention on the international stage, making appearances at major events such as Automechanika Frankfurt, the Thailand Auto Expo, and the Hong Kong IMXPO.

To support its Australian market entry, Geely Auto has established a new subsidiary in the country, which will be responsible for sales, marketing, and aftersales services. The company is currently setting up a network of dealerships and service centers across Australia to ensure a smooth launch and provide exceptional customer support.

Geely's 1.5TD Turbo-charged Coolray hit the milestone of 1 million units sold, with a presence in 51 countries. It secured a top-three position in its segment among Chinese brands across six major markets. Exports of the Monjaro, Geely's luxury 4WD SUV, surged by 150% year-over-year, showcasing strong demand for its luxurious design and powerful performance. The Emgrand continued its market dominance, ranking as a top-three A-sedan in nine key markets.

Looking ahead to 2025, Geely Auto has set an ambitious global sales target of 2.71 million units while focusing on the evolution of its operating system, business capabilities, product strategy, and refined after sales services.
