The recall affects Mini Cooper SE models manufactured between March 21, 2019, and January 25, 2024.

Owners will be notified starting October 7, 2024, highlighting the importance of prompt action to ensure vehicle safety.

The recall was prompted by an incident in October 2023 when a Mini Cooper SE caught fire in the U.S.Two additional customer complaints potentially linked to the defect were recorded by August 2024. No injuries or accidents have been reported related to this issue.
