Volkswagen is set to launch its third-generation Tiguan in 2025, aiming to attract buyers with a range of turbocharged engines, including mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. This new iteration of the popular mid-size SUV promises improved performance, efficiency, and technology to compete in the ever-evolving SUV market.
The 2025 Tiguan will offer a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. Mild-hybrid technology will be available on most petrol variants. A plug-in hybrid version with up to 100km of electric range is planned.
The new Tiguan will be based on an updated version of the MQB platform. It will feature Volkswagen's latest MIB4 infotainment system. The SUV will come with advanced driver assistance systems, including Travel Assist.
Exterior design changes include a more upright front end and redesigned LED lighting. Interior updates focus on improved ergonomics and increased use of sustainable materials.
The Tiguan will continue to be offered in both five-seat and seven-seat (Allspace) configurations. Australian launch is expected in late 2024 or early 2025.
