Volkswagen has officially announced its newest addition to its electric vehicle lineup, the ID.2X, a compact electric SUV scheduled to make its global debut at the IAA Mobility show in Munich this September.
The ID.2X is set to be the final piece in Volkswagen's four-model entry-level EV lineup, joining the ID.2 hatchback, Cupra Raval, and Skoda Epiq.

The ID.2X will be built on Volkswagen's MEB Entry platform, shared with its siblings in the Electric Urban Car Family. Production is slated to begin in 2026, following the ID.2's launch in 2025.
