Zeekr, the Chinese automaker known for its electric vehicles, is venturing into the hybrid market with the introduction of the 9X Grand, a full-sized luxury SUV. The 9X Grand, which is set for an official reveal as early as April, will be the brand’s first hybrid vehicle and its most luxurious model yet.

The 9X Grand boasts a boxy design with a raked D-pillar, drawing comparisons to the Range Rover and even the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The front-end design is reminiscent of Zeekr’s 009 people mover, featuring a distinctive split lighting setup and a potential LiDAR unit on the roof. Despite the camouflage, the SUV’s upscale aesthetic is apparent, with the black and gold wrap adding to its grand appearance.

While Zeekr has not yet revealed the 9X Grand’s interior, it is expected to match the opulence of the 009 Grand. The 009 Grand offers features such as stone trim, thick wool carpets, a 31-speaker Yamaha sound system, and a rear cabin designed for ultimate comfort with first-class airplane-style seats. The 9X Grand is likely to include similarly luxurious elements, emphasizing comfort and advanced technology.

Zeekr aims to launch its electric 7X SUV in Australia by late 2025, with ambitions to sell 10,000 vehicles locally by 2026.
